Senior React Native Engineer – Mobile Platform Foundations

Our client, a leading organization in the digital services sector, is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to design and develop the core foundations of their next-generation platform. This role focuses on building a modular, extensible architecture that ensures a high-quality, consistent experience across both iOS and Android environments.

• Design and develop mobile platform capabilities using React Native and TypeScript.
• Contribute to the evolution of a modular and platform-oriented mobile architecture.
• Develop reusable UI components to enhance and expand the internal Design System.
• Implement automated testing strategies and apply software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and backend engineers to integrate complex platform mechanisms.
• Participate in technical design activities, code reviews, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

• 8+ years of experience in mobile software engineering with React Native and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience with Redux stack and network libraries such as Axios.
• 5+ years of experience with Git and source control management tools like Bitbucket or GitLab.
• 3+ years of experience with mobile testing and quality tools including Jest, SonarQube, Lint, and Prettier.
• 3+ years of experience implementing Firebase, Instabug, or Notifcare within production environments.
• Expertise in building reusable UI components and contributing to Design Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android platform-specific implementations and performance optimization.
• Proven background working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• You're a proactive problem-solver with a pragmatic, delivery-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in English with a very strong level of French or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Java Development for native mobile integrations.
• Experience with Automated Test Platforms such as Saucelabs.
• Understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies.
