Senior Application Support Engineer – Infrastructure & Middleware

Our client, a key organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to manage and deploy critical applications. The role involves overseeing deployment environments, managing shared middleware, and ensuring infrastructure resilience across both Windows and Linux systems.

• Execute deployments and updates for in-house applications across acceptance and production environments.
• Design and implement application server architectures while ensuring alignment with security constraints and infrastructure standards.
• Validate and execute technical components of Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
• Provide second and third-line technical troubleshooting for complex application and middleware issues.
• Configure and manage F5 load balancing and web application traffic via Virtual IPs.
• Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders to define technical deployment requirements.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule to ensure high availability of mission-critical systems.

• You have 8+ years of expert experience with Windows Server (versions 2012 through 2022).
• You bring 3+ years of experience supporting applications on Linux RedHat, including log verification, health monitoring, and scripting.
• You possess 3+ years of experience with IIS management and web site deployment.
• You're experienced with PowerShell for automation and task management.
• You have 3+ years of experience working with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• You possess a solid understanding of firewalls and network load balancing concepts.
• You bring analytical troubleshooting skills and a pragmatic, customer-oriented mindset.
• You're in possession of a valid driver’s license.
• You are a native speaker of French or Dutch with active knowledge of the other language and a fluent level of English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of MS-SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, NEO4J, or Redis Cache.
• Familiarity with F5 product configurations.
• Active knowledge of German.
