Senior Test Engineer – Railway Signaling & Microservices

Our client, a prominent player in the transportation infrastructure sector, is seeking a specialist to ensure the quality and safety of critical signaling systems. This role involves executing comprehensive manual and automated testing within an Agile environment focused on modern microservices architectures.

• Execute manual and automated testing for complex Java and Angular based applications.
• Ensure project compliance with industry-specific quality standards including EN50.128 and ISO 9001.
• Collaborate closely with developers and analysts within a Scrum framework to deliver high-quality software.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Manage test cases and defect tracking using Xray, Jira, and Confluence.
• Integrate cybersecurity best practices and organizational ICT standards into the testing lifecycle.
• Serve as a backup Scrum Master to facilitate team rituals and maintain project momentum.

• You have 8+ years of experience in manual testing within complex software environments.
• You possess 5+ years of experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• You bring 2+ years of expertise in test automation using Selenium and Gitlab.
• You have technical proficiency in Java and Angular development environments.
• You have knowledge of SQL and XML for data verification and integration.
• You possess hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, Ready-API, or SOAP-UI.
• You're experienced with Jira, Confluence, and Xray for test management.
• You possess ISTQB, ITIL Foundation, and Scrum Master certifications.
• You have professional knowledge of EN50.128 signaling standards and cybersecurity principles.
• You are fluent in English with a B2 level of Dutch and a basic knowledge of French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ISO 27001 or NIS security standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
