Project Manager - Accelerator Systems

Our client, a leading organization in the field of scientific research and technology, is looking for a Project Manager to lead the development of advanced accelerator systems. The role focuses on the management, manufacturing, and commissioning of a high-tech linac project, in close collaboration with international partners.

• Manage and drive the implementation and manufacturing of CH Cavities, including RF Couplers, RF Tuners, and RF Pick-ups.
• Coordinate the technical contributions of national and international partners from both research institutes and industry.
• Manage all planning aspects related to Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on integrated Cryomodules.
• Develop an efficient strategy for the installation and commissioning of the accelerator, including the associated auxiliary systems.
• Prepare the installation phase while ensuring that project targets and technical requirements are closely monitored and achieved.
• Lead and support team members in executing tasks within the defined timeline and budget.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
• You have more than 10 years of experience managing technologically complex projects, including contract management in an international environment.
• You have a strong professional engineering background within an R&D environment.
• You are a pragmatic and stress-resistant team manager with proven coaching abilities.
• You have a proactive mindset and are capable of translating strategic vision into concrete actions.
• You are willing to travel internationally up to 20% of your working time.
• You are fluent in English (C1/C2 level).

• Knowledge of particle accelerators or accelerator physics.
• Knowledge of Dutch and French.
