Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical sectors, is seeking a Construction Manager to support a large portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects. This role involves overseeing construction activities across both tertiary office environments and industrial facilities to ensure high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements.
- Develop and manage detailed short-term execution schedules, including 3-week look-ahead planning.
- Lead multidisciplinary site coordination meetings and act as the primary interface between project teams and contractors.
- Perform constructability reviews and resolve technical or logistical issues to minimize project delays.
- Supervise HSE governance by conducting site inspections, managing permits, and enforcing safety documentation standards.
- Monitor physical progress and productivity, providing regular reports to project management and technical experts.
- Review engineering documents, drawings, and method statements to ensure pragmatic and efficient execution solutions.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor or Master in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Chemical) or Construction.
- You bring 15+ years of relevant experience in construction management for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- You have a strong background in regulated environments, specifically within the pharmaceutical or petrochemical industries.
- You possess extensive knowledge of HSE regulations and field application.
- You have demonstrated experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing on-site contractors.
- You are autonomous, proactive, and have a pragmatic problem-solving approach.
- You are fluent in French with a professional level of English.
