Our client, a leading research institution in the energy and physics sector, is seeking a professional to join their electronics unit. The role involves supporting the design, integration, and commissioning of electronic systems for a high-power accelerator project.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering activities and system integrations for electronics systems, including Low-Level RF and Beam Diagnostics.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems and equipment throughout the design, procurement, and exploitation phases.
  • Collaborate on the design, integration, and validation of the RF cell and its inter-operating sub-systems.
  • Manage procurement contracts and project agreements related to RF cell developments.
  • Develop simulation models to validate concepts and ensure system requirements are met.
  • Coordinate the test stand for system integration and establish commissioning and verification procedures.
  • Participate in the design and verification of various embedded electronics systems.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent.
  • You bring a professional engineering background in an R&D environment.
  • You possess experience with LLRF systems of high-power superconducting linear accelerators and a strong background in systems engineering.
  • You have experience in embedded systems engineering, specifically with Electronics, FPGA, and Firmware.
  • You bring practical experience in Object-oriented software design using Python and C/C++ within a Git development lifecycle.
  • You're proactive, autonomous, and demonstrate flexibility in managing shifting priorities.
  • You are fluent in English with an active knowledge of Dutch.
