Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications sector, is seeking a Tech Lead to guide a shared services cluster. This role acts as the technical conscience for the team, translating architectural vision into implementation standards while steering delivery across diverse vendor landscapes. Success in this position involves bridging the gap between high-level theory and hands-on engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Translate architectural vision into practical implementation standards and guardrails.
- Co-own the domain architecture alongside solution architects and product owners.
- Enforce engineering standards for security, maintainability, scalability, and observability.
- Perform architecture-level code reviews and ensure high-quality engineering outcomes.
- Challenge and guide vendor teams to ensure alignment with technical standards.
- Support teams in cloud adoption using container platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Organize coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions to reduce technical debt and drive modernization.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in technical leadership or senior solution design in enterprise environments.
- You bring experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- You possess knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- You're proficient in integration patterns including APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging.
- You have experience with Snowflake or similar enterprise data platforms.
- You bring a solid understanding of infrastructure including networking, compute, security, and storage.
- You possess expertise in software architecture and scalable system design.
- You're proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication and persuasion skills.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of AI adoption and innovation initiatives.
- Background in telecommunications or network architecture.
- Experience working within large-scale multi-vendor ecosystems.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Knowledge of Dutch.
