Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is looking for a Software Governance Specialist to join their Digital Workplace domain. This role ensures that software, SaaS solutions, and licenses are governed, controlled, optimized, and continuously improved across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor the end-to-end software and SaaS governance process while defining and tracking performance KPIs.
  • Govern the intake of new software requests by identifying existing internal solutions and following up on required approvals.
  • Maintain the software catalogue and SaaS inventory to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data.
  • Manage licenses by monitoring usage, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and ensuring alignment with contract renewals.
  • Act as the central coordination point between business teams, architects, security, and procurement to drive timely decision-making.
  • Produce and analyze governance reports to identify trends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience in IT Governance, IT License Management, or Software/SaaS Coordination.
  • You bring proven experience with license management or software usage monitoring.
  • You possess a strong understanding of software/SaaS intake processes and compliance topics like GDPR, vendor risk, and security reviews.
  • You have experience working with documentation tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
  • You bring an analytical mindset with experience in KPI definition and reporting.
  • You possess strong stakeholder coordination skills and an ownership mindset.
  • You're structured and detail-oriented with a strong follow-up discipline.
  • You are a proactive communicator capable of bridging business, IT, and governance topics.
  • You are fluent in English with fluent knowledge of French or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in a regulated or international environment.
  • Experience with SaaS lifecycle management or procurement and tender processes.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Ivanti, Jira, or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or service management best practices.
  • Willingness to obtain knowledge of AI governance or the EU AI Act.
