Our client, a leading organization in the media and broadcasting sector, is seeking a professional to lead the analysis, documentation, and implementation of data governance frameworks. The role focuses on enhancing data discoverability and quality by mapping datasets, metadata, and ownership structures across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document datasets, metadata, and datastreams to map the organizational information landscape.
  • Identify and document data ownership and stewardship roles in collaboration with business and data teams.
  • Define and monitor data quality rules, definitions, and governance agreements.
  • Register and maintain metadata, terms, and ownership within data catalog tools.
  • Translate complex stakeholder information into clear overviews, process descriptions, and documentation.
  • Facilitate the implementation of governance agreements within existing data and business processes.

Requirements

  • You possess 8+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in data analysis and the documentation of datasets, metadata, and datastreams.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience gathering and structuring information from diverse stakeholders.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in ICT business operations and BPM (business process management).
  • You possess a strong affinity for modern data platforms and data-driven environments.
  • You bring a proactive and structured approach to change management and documentation.
  • You have excellent communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • You are fluent in Dutch at C2 level.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with data catalog tools such as OpenMetadata or Collibra.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and relevant data regulations.
  • Experience in Project Management facets including costing, timing, and coordination.
  • Previous experience working within Data or AI-focused environments.
