Cloud Engineer – Azure & Infrastructure Automation

Our client is looking for a specialist to oversee the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure cloud-based infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role focuses on bridging the gap between software delivery and reliable infrastructure while ensuring governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.

• Design and monitor cloud blueprints, including governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Advise on and implement best practices for scalability, high availability, and cost optimization.
• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Evaluate and integrate new cloud services and technologies according to the organizational cloud strategy.
• Collaborate with delivery and technology teams to translate architectural decisions into practical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and maintain clear technical guidelines and documentation.

• You have 5+ years of professional experience in the Azure ecosystem.
• You bring proficiency in Terraform to deploy and manage resources following Infrastructure as Code principles.
• You possess experience building CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions and a deep understanding of the full SDLC.
• You're proactive, possess a 'builder' mentality, and show a strong affinity with software development.
• You possess strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• You're fluent in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of an Azure Administrator Associate certification.
• Knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM).
