Our client, a major organization in the public transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced professional to lead critical IT and physical security projects. This role oversees the end-to-end delivery of Building IT Systems, coordinating diverse stakeholders to ensure high-quality implementations within complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Building IT Systems projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate technical and operational stakeholders to manage physical security implementations, including video surveillance and access control.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies according to organizational standards.
  • Manage project budgets and governance processes, providing recommendations for adjustments when necessary.
  • Facilitate executive-level communication through Steering Committees and regular status reporting to senior leadership.
  • Oversee public procurement and tendering processes, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Define non-functional requirements for the operational phase to ensure successful service transition and support.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience within IT environments.
  • 10+ years of project management experience delivering complex, multi-stream technology projects.
  • 10+ years of experience with physical security systems, specifically in domains such as video surveillance, fire detection, intrusion detection, or access control.
  • You bring proven experience in public procurement, tendering, and contractual governance within a public sector context.
  • You possess deep knowledge of enterprise platforms, cloud services, network services, and workplace solutions.
  • You have demonstrated expertise in risk management, dependency mapping, and structured project planning.
  • You're experienced in managing projects involving at least five different IT delivery teams and multiple external partners.
  • You're skilled in stakeholder management and executive communications, including the preparation of decision papers.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English, with C1 level in Dutch or French and at least B2 level in the remaining languages.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with workplace transformation and endpoint management technologies.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services and collaboration platforms.
  • Willingness to support projects across different operational divisions as priorities evolve.
