Expert ServiceNow ITOM – CMDB & Governance

Our client, a prominent digital service provider, is seeking a specialist to strengthen their configuration management ecosystem. This role focuses on both the technical and procedural implementation of a high-quality Configuration Management Database within an ITOM framework, ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer through a train-the-trainer approach.

• Implement and structure the Configuration Management Database within the technical environment according to best practices.
• Onboard and organize diverse assets, including infrastructure and applications, ensuring data completeness and quality.
• Facilitate and strengthen configuration management processes and governance within the service delivery community.
• Execute active knowledge transfer and coaching to internal staff to ensure long-term autonomous management.
• Develop technical documentation, usage guidelines, and training materials for various stakeholder groups.
• Ensure rigorous data modeling and manage Configuration Item relationships to maintain system integrity.

• You have 8+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB implementation and configuration.
• You bring 4+ years of expertise in the ServiceNow platform.
• You possess deep knowledge of CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, and data quality standards.
• You possess a solid understanding of ITIL principles, specifically focused on Configuration Management.
• You have experience in CMDB governance, management processes, and responsibility models.
• You're experienced in onboarding and structuring infrastructure and application assets within a CMDB.
• You have a proven track record in coaching and guiding internal teams.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery or Service Mapping.
• Experience in delivering train-the-trainer sessions.
• Professional experience in developing technical documentation and guidelines.
• Master or Bachelor degree in a technical or engineering field.
