Our client, a major organization in the transportation sector, is looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to high-impact projects spanning security, punctuality, and sustainability. The role focuses on developing strategic models and implementing advanced analytics to enhance operational efficiency and passenger safety.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced data science solutions using machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and sustainability to deliver integrated solutions.
- Translate complex business challenges into data-driven strategies and technical models.
- Ensure best practices in model development, validation, and deployment across the organization.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools and methodologies within the data science team.
- Develop strategic models to optimize punctuality and energy consumption through predictive modeling.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in data science with a strong track record in industrial applications.
- You possess a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or an AI field.
- You bring proven expertise in cloud services for industrialized data analytics projects.
- You have experience bringing ML and AI models into production environments.
- You possess advanced knowledge of various data science techniques and programming languages.
- You're able to translate complex business problems into actionable solutions based on Advanced Analytics.
- You possess strong communication and presentation skills.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with security analytics or infrastructure safety modeling.
- Knowledge of energy consumption analysis within a sustainability context.
Offer
- Start date: 17/08/2026.
- Duration: until 30/06/2027.
- Work regime: Full-time (1 FTE).
- Location: Brussels.
- Working model: Hybrid (onsite presence required on Tuesday and Thursday).
- Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
