Our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Associate Scientist to support innovative product and process development projects. This role involves executing complex synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization experiments within a high-standard laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and execute experimental protocols for drug substance development in collaboration with senior scientists.
  • Lead and contribute to synthesis, purification, and filtration experiments, including characterization of developed products.
  • Perform analytical testing and real-time process analysis to facilitate rapid project decision-making.
  • Manage experimental work packages, including timeline definition, material coordination, and documentation in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Participate in technical troubleshooting and brainstorming sessions to iterate and improve experimental plans.
  • Coordinate method transfers and present technical data during project and team meetings.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety standards and data integrity principles.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You bring 1+ years of relevant experience as an associate scientist within the life sciences industry.
  • You possess experience in drug substance process technologies such as TFF, IVT, multi-column chromatography, and sterile filtration.
  • You have experience with analytical lab techniques including UHPLC, UV spectroscopy, and dsRNA quantification.
  • You possess a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong brainstorming capabilities.
  • You are familiar with data integrity principles such as ALCOA.
  • You are fluent in French and/or English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in analytical testing related to purification and filtration follow-up.
  • Willingness to obtain knowledge in RAMAN support.
