Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Functional Analyst to join their specialized geospatial analysis team. The role focuses on supporting the implementation and maintenance of critical GIS services and solutions that underpin large-scale operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for the development team.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of GIS-based services and solutions across multiple departments.
  • Participate actively in the full lifecycle of geospatial projects within an Agile environment.
  • Identify and document functional needs to ensure IT solutions align with operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Maintain project documentation and track progress using standard technical management tools.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst within the IT sector.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience working with GIS technologies, specifically ESRI, FME, and Oracle Spatial.
  • You possess 3+ years of experience in translating business requirements into IT specifications.
  • You're experienced in working within an Agile development environment using Jira.
  • You possess strong presentation skills and a professional approach to stakeholder management.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French (C1) with intermediate knowledge (B1) of the other national language and English (B1).

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of organization-specific infrastructure challenges.
  • Willingness to participate in a standby service rotation.
