Our client, a prominent organization in the industrial refining sector, is seeking an Industrial Asset Management Engineer to focus on civil and structural assets. The role involves designing and implementing an asset management system to improve structural reliability and create predictable lifecycle costs within a complex industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and roll-out of the asset management system, including asset registers and criticality frameworks.
  • Develop tactical asset plans and multi-year maintenance strategies for industrial civil and building assets.
  • Analyze degradation trends and inspection data to formulate concrete improvement proposals and mitigation measures.
  • Prepare execution-ready work packages, ensuring all technical scopes, permits, and safety conditions are addressed.
  • Coordinate small-scale improvement projects by guiding contractors and condition-monitoring partners during execution.
  • Advise design departments on lifecycle parameters to ensure structural assets are maintainable and reliable from the design phase.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and manage high-quality asset data within EAM and DMS systems.

Requirements

  • You possess a Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on Civil or Construction Engineering.
  • You bring 7+ years of technical experience and knowledge regarding civil and structural engineering in industrial contexts.
  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial asset management, including maintenance strategy and lifecycle management.
  • You have 1+ years of experience involving the implementation of asset management systems and tactical asset planning.
  • You possess working knowledge of ISO 55000, SEVESO, and Eurocode standards.
  • You have experience with methodologies such as RBI, RCA, and criticality or risk analysis.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch.

  • Experience with EAM systems, DMS platforms, and predictive analysis tools.
  • Background in work preparation within industrial maintenance or turnaround environments.
  • Willingness to obtain VCA certification.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
