Data Quality Engineer – Python & SQL

Our client, a prominent organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to design and maintain pipelines for mission-critical data assets. The role focuses on bridging the gap between technical development and business needs by visualizing quality issues and implementing robust monitoring rules.

• Translate functional data quality requirements into technical rules and monitoring processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain data quality pipelines within a specialized engineering team.
• Visualize data errors and quality issues to assist data stewards and producers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across ICT, data governance, and business units to define quality standards.
• Develop deep business knowledge of data assets to ensure technical solutions align with organizational needs.
• Contribute to the scalability and continuous improvement of the organization-wide data quality program.

• 1+ years of experience in data development using Python and SQL.
• 1+ years of experience with relevant data technologies or similar engineering frameworks.
• Possess experience in data visualization using Power BI.
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
• You are native in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working within Azure environments.
• Practical experience with Databricks as an exploration tool.
• Familiarity with Data Quality frameworks.

• Start date: 16/11/2026.
• Duration: project until 31/05/2027.
• Work regime: Part-time (60%).
• Location: Mechelen.
• Working model: Onsite.
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
