Our client, a major player in the healthcare sector, is seeking an expert to finalize the design of a strategic shipping plan integrated into the operations schedule. This assignment involves optimizing global logistics flows and structuring collaboration with external partners to ensure reliable deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Define the logistics requirements for managing product availability dates within the schedule.
  • Translate the planning segmentation into an optimized logistics segmentation based on flow variability.
  • Design the 4PL transportation planning process and the associated feedback loops.
  • Define and validate a standardized timeframe for converting transportation requests into orders.
  • Drive change by ensuring alignment between the technical planning teams and strategic sponsors.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics, with concrete hands-on experience in transformation projects (not just run-the-business operations)
  • Proven experience leading/transitioning to a 4PL model — understanding how to structure the relationship, signals, and framework between a client organization and an outsourced logistics orchestrator
  • Sufficient knowledge of the Planning world (S&OP, planning horizons, goods availability date) to engage as an equal with Planning teams, without needing to be a hands-on expert
  • Ability to design a framework/process from scratch (not just execute an existing one)
  • Understanding of prebooking and feedback loops
  • Ability to unblock unresolved governance decisions (RACI, ownership) between misaligned teams
  • Strong change management skills and on-the-ground presence
  • Able to engage both with highly technical interlocutors (planning, operational logistics) and with conceptual/strategic sponsors
  • Fluent English is required

Nice to Have

  • Pharma/vaccines industry experience (or a sector with strong quality/traceability requirements as an alternative)
  • Experience in large-volume international transport, ideally sea freight
  • French is a plus
