Functional Analyst – Insurance Underwriting

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance sector, is seeking a professional to support a large-scale business roadmap. This role focuses on translating complex business requirements into structured IT solutions within a large-scale development environment.

• Translate business requirements into structured functional IT designs while respecting organizational standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to transform functional designs into well-tailored technical specifications.
• Develop and execute functional integration test cases based on defined project requirements.
• Coordinate with technical designers and programmers during the implementation of new functionalities.
• Analyze potential corrective actions and test products thoroughly before user delivery.
• Maintain close contact with business stakeholders to ensure final solutions align with operational needs.

• 3+ years of experience as an IT Functional Analyst, preferably within a large-scale corporate environment.
• 3+ years of experience in Non-Life underwriting insurance.
• 3+ years of experience working with multi-layer applications.
• You bring a professional bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific field.
• You possess strong analytical skills with a methodical, structured, and proactive approach.
• You're able to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
• You have excellent communication and listening skills with a result-oriented mindset.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with good knowledge of English and at least basic knowledge of the other national language (French or Dutch).

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SQL and technical analysis.
• Knowledge of Non-Life claims insurance and document management.
• Familiarity with Prince2 methodology or project leading principles.
• Experience with TMAP or similar test management principles.
