Our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical organization, is seeking a Global HVAC & Black Utilities Expert to spearhead technical strategy and standards across international manufacturing sites. The role focuses on developing engineering guidelines, leading feasibility studies for major CAPEX projects, and driving innovation within utility systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop global technical standards and strategies for HVAC and Black Utilities across engineering CAPEX projects.
  • Lead feasibility studies and build conceptual designs for new infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence and sustainability.
  • Act as the global technical reference during reviews, providing high-level expertise in Thermodynamics, Fluids, Automation, and Piping.
  • Manage a global network of experts to monitor technological trends and implement industry best practices in equipment lifecycles.
  • Mentor and coach users to build organizational capabilities and develop global competency matrices for utility distribution networks.
  • Ensure compliance with cGxP, EHS regulations, and international guidance documents such as ISPE and PDA.
  • Analyze utility requirements and consolidate technical parameter tables for heating, cooling, steam, and thermal balances.

Requirements

  • You have a Master’s Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • You bring 8+ years of experience in engineering within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, specifically with large-scale projects and EPC/EPCM models.
  • You possess in-depth technical knowledge of HVAC and Black Utilities, including Thermodynamics, Fluids, Automation, and the ability to interpret P&ID and PFD.
  • You have expertise in cGMP regulations and international standards including ICH, FDA CMC, ISPE, and PDA.
  • You bring experience in risk and safety management methodologies such as HAZOP, QRA, FMEA, ATEX, and Biosafety.
  • You possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.
  • You are fluent in French and English.
