Senior AI Security Expert – GenAI & Governance

Our client, a major organization in the public safety sector, is looking for a specialist to evaluate their AI and GenAI security posture. This role involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of AI usage, governance frameworks, and risk profiles to establish a clear improvement roadmap for the security office.

• Perform a thorough inventory and risk assessment of AI and GenAI usage across the organization, including identifying shadow AI.
• Analyze AI governance structures, policies, and responsibility frameworks to ensure the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
• Evaluate technical risks specific to AI applications, such as data leakage, prompt injection, and model security.
• Conduct a gap analysis regarding compliance with the European AI Act and related regulatory obligations.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders from IT, data science, and legal departments to gather insights.
• Develop a strategic action plan and executive reporting with concrete recommendations for senior management.
• Ensure a comprehensive knowledge transfer to the internal security team upon completion of the assignment.

• You have 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a specialized focus on AI and GenAI security, including prompt injection, data leakage, and adversarial ML.
• You possess expert knowledge of AI governance and risk management frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
• You bring a deep understanding of the European AI Act, associated compliance requirements, and GDPR principles.
• You have experience performing audits or security assessments for AI applications and identifying shadow AI.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• You're able to work autonomously and provide authoritative advice under broad guidance.
• You have strong communication skills for reporting complex technical findings to C-level management.
• You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
• Holding CISSP or CISM certifications.
• Certifications in AI Governance.
