Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Materials Science Lab Analyst to support their development and manufacturing projects. This role involves performing specialized analytical activities and sample characterization for both chemical and biological entities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical activities to support pharmaceutical manufacturing and development projects, including investigations and method development.
  • Execute sample preparation for the isolation and characterization of foreign particulate matter.
  • Conduct analyses using techniques such as optical microscopy, electron microscopy, and elemental analysis.
  • Develop and apply analytical methods using IR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and laser diffraction.
  • Interpret experimental data within a materials science framework to understand structural and performance relationships.
  • Document all laboratory activities in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) and author technical reports.
  • Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation and contribute to a material reference database.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in (bio)chemistry, analytical chemistry, or materials science.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience in a laboratory environment with a strong background in analytical activities.
  • You have practical experience in optical microscopy and electron microscopy.
  • You possess expertise in spectroscopy, specifically IR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
  • You are collaborative and meticulous with a high level of rigor and attention to procedures.
  • You are fluent in English.
