Our client, a major player in the transport and infrastructure sector, is looking for a Functional Analyst to support mission-critical railway management applications. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and IT solutions within an agile environment to ensure the quality and evolution of traffic planning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog and refine user stories.
  • Facilitate workshops and model business processes to align expectations across multiple stakeholders.
  • Define test scenarios and coordinate functional testing to validate system deliveries with business users.
  • Perform incident analysis and propose corrective solutions within a complex 24/7 operational environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive functional documentation and act as a central point of contact for application logic.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience with modeling techniques including UML, ERD, and Story Mapping.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience working with XML, XSLT, and SVG.
  • You have 5+ years of experience with Miro, Jira, and Confluence for workshop facilitation and process modeling.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience reading and understanding SQL databases, such as MySQL and Oracle.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience with structured project management and project-based work.
  • You have basic knowledge of Java tools and environment.
  • You are analytical, proactive, and have the ability to coach and guide colleagues.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French with a C1 level of English.

Nice to Haves

  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 standby service after initial training.
