Linux Technical Lead – Infrastructure & Automation

Our client, a prominent organization in the financial sector, is looking for a Linux Technical Lead to enhance the operational maturity of their platform team. The role focuses on driving reliability, establishing structural improvements, and providing technical guidance across the Linux estate.

• Provide technical leadership and define best practices for Linux platform operations, maintenance, and security.
• Drive operational excellence by optimizing incident, problem, change, and capacity management processes.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis as a senior escalation point for platform issues.
• Coach and mentor the engineering team to foster a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce operational toil and improve stability.

• You possess 5+ years of experience in system engineering with a focus on Linux and RedHat OS.
• You have expertise in automation and configuration management using Ansible and Microsoft PowerShell.
• You bring experience with version control tools such as GitHub and BitBucket.
• You have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build/release processes, and IaaS environments.
• You're familiar with Backup & Recovery, Identity and access management, and Network management.
• You possess experience with Agile methodologies and Incident management procedures.
• You're proactive with strong analytical thinking and structured communication skills.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ServiceNow, SIEM, or Bladelogic.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of T24 / Temenos or OAuth.
• Willingness to perform on-call duties for responsible systems.
• Knowledge of Dutch.
