Senior Functional Analyst – Transport & Logistics Solutions

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and logistics sector, is looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to join their transport execution management domain. The role involves analyzing and optimizing business processes for innovative projects involving mobile applications and cloud-based backends. A focus will be placed on designing IT solutions for workforce planning and competency management while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Facilitate workshops and requirement elicitation sessions with stakeholders to gather and prioritize business needs.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and detailed system interactions.
• Document API specifications using Swagger and create sequence diagrams to illustrate system integrations.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical solutions align with organizational objectives.
• Support quality assurance processes by defining acceptance criteria and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Analyze and validate data using SQL queries to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• 8+ years of experience in functional or business analysis within complex project environments.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Science, or equivalent through experience.
• You possess strong expertise in analytical modeling using BPMN, UML, and sequence diagrams.
• You bring technical proficiency in RESTful APIs, Swagger, JSON, SQL, and Cosmos DB.
• You’re experienced with Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
• You have a proven track record of stakeholder management and defining scope using MoSCoW and acceptance criteria.
• You are a proactive critical thinker with the ability to manage ambiguity and find creative solutions to complex problems.
• You are fluent in English with C2 level proficiency in either French or Dutch and active knowledge of the other language.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the public transport industry.
• Knowledge of testing and QA practices including TDD, Selenium, or NUnit.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX design concepts for frontend solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments.
• Willingness to obtain formal functional analysis certifications.
