Java Developer – Java/Gradle

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is looking for a Java Developer to support the evolution of their application landscape. The project focuses on adapting and modernizing existing applications to transition between data reporting standards.

• Develop and adapt Java applications to align with evolving data reporting standards.
• Implement backend logic and service layers using Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Maintain and enhance frontend components utilizing GWT.
• Manage data persistence and optimization within DB2 and PostgreSQL environments.
• Automate build processes and manage dependencies using Gradle.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure a seamless transition from legacy frameworks to new architectures.

• 3+ years backend development experience with Java 8, Java 11, Spring 5.3.X, and Spring Boot 2.7.X.
• 3+ years with Hibernate 5.5.X and relational databases including DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years with GWT 2.7 for frontend development.
• 3+ years experience with Gradle 5.x for build automation.
• You are fluent in French with passive knowledge of Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience within the social security sector.
• Knowledge of DMFA and LTDS data standards.
