Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a professional to focus on the development and optimization of production processes for biologic products. This role supports high-quality manufacturing operations across formulation, upstream, and downstream environments.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize production processes and equipment to increase capacity and reduce disruptions.
  • Provide operational support to resolve process and equipment issues within the production environment.
  • Manage the equipment lifecycle including selection, start-up, and validation through FAT/SAT activities.
  • Draft technical and pharmaceutical documentation such as URS, validation protocols, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate project priorities and resources from engineering design through to final execution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and cGMP standards throughout all activities.
  • Develop scientific expertise and provide technical coaching to operational teams.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Bio-engineering, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • You possess relevant experience in process or equipment engineering within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • You bring an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with single-use equipment, centrifugation, filtration, or fermentation systems.
  • Knowledge of automation and data systems such as DeltaV, PI Historian, or MES.
  • Familiarity with Design Qualification and risk-based validation approaches.
