Datacenter Network Architect – Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

Our client, a major organization based in Brussels, is seeking an expert to design a future-proof, cloud-connected datacenter architecture. This role focuses on integrating advanced AI workloads, hybrid cloud solutions, and zero-trust security principles into a high-availability infrastructure.

• Analyze the current network environment to design a comprehensive target architecture and a strategic three-year roadmap.
• Develop detailed migration plans and maintain Architectural Decision Records to document technical governance.
• Implement Security by Design principles across the network fabric, ensuring compliance with global standards and data protection regulations.
• Conduct performance, capacity, and resiliency analyses to optimize high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Design specialized storage networking and GPU fabrics to support AI-driven workloads and cluster environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate virtualization, container platforms, and hybrid cloud services into the core datacenter fabric.

• You have 8+ years of professional IT experience within enterprise-level infrastructure.
• You bring 5+ years of network engineering experience specializing in BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS, and RoCEv2.
• You possess 2+ years of experience architecting datacenter networks using Leaf-Spine architectures and ECMP routing.
• You have 2+ years of expertise in Cisco ACI Multi-Fabric and advanced L2/L3 networking.
• You bring 2+ years of experience with hybrid cloud solutions including Azure Stack HCI, Azure Arc, AKS, and ExpressRoute.
• You possess 2+ years of experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware ESX, NSX-T, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• You have 2+ years of experience designing SAN networking, Fibre Channel, vSAN, and NVMe storage solutions.
• You're experienced with AI infrastructure requirements including InfiniBand, GPU fabrics, and RDMA/NCCL optimization.
• You have knowledge of security frameworks and protocols such as Zero Trust, MACsec, IPsec, ISO27001, and NIS2.
• You are fluent in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Oracle RAC and Exadata integration.
• Familiarity with GDPR compliance within network architecture.
• Knowledge of PKI and KMS implementations.
