Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to strengthen the licensing operations within their IT department. This role combines administrative, analytical, and follow-up activities to provide transversal support to IT, Procurement, and Finance teams. The mission focuses on ensuring a reliable, compliant, and optimized software portfolio throughout the entire lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT licenses including request, approval, acquisition, and renewal.
  • Maintain a precise and reliable database of active, expired, and renewable software licenses.
  • Analyze contracts and licensing clauses in collaboration with procurement and finance stakeholders.
  • Evaluate usage data to identify underutilized assets and propose optimization strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to license compliance, risks, and potential savings.
  • Prepare analytical reports and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making for management.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or IT Procurement.
  • You possess strong knowledge of license models from major software vendors and experience with SAM or ITAM solutions.
  • You bring advanced analytical skills using Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • You have experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions within complex contracts.
  • You're proactive, rigorous, and possess strong communication and ownership skills.
  • You are fluent in English with active knowledge of French or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with specific energy sector software portfolio management.
