Senior Information Security Consultant – NIS2 Compliance & Governance

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is seeking a specialist to lead their transition towards regulatory compliance. The role focuses on implementing information security policies and coordinating technical measures to ensure full alignment with security frameworks and legislative requirements.

• Lead the organization toward NIS2 conformity by implementing robust information security policies and organizational measures.
• Develop and align technical security measures in close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Prepare and guide the organization through audits, inspections, and supervisory activities to demonstrate compliance.
• Manage project progress and provide detailed reporting to key stakeholders.
• Translate complex cybersecurity risks and theoretical principles into pragmatic, operational measures.
• Oversee the effective implementation and evolution of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

• You have 8+ years of experience working within complex Enterprise IT environments.
• You possess 5+ years of experience in information security within operational or organizational contexts.
• You have a proven track record in the implementation and rollout of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• You bring in-depth knowledge of the NIS2 directive, Cyber Fundamentals, and related security frameworks.
• You possess strong experience in project management and stakeholder management using Agile or PRINCE2.
• You have experience preparing and guiding organizations through formal audits and inspection trajectories.
• You're able to balance security risks against operational goals with strong leadership and persuasion skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
