Senior Java Developer – Rail Infrastructure & Traffic Planning Systems

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking a senior professional to manage mission-critical applications for infrastructure and traffic planning. The role focuses on technical development and software quality within a Scrum environment following a large-scale agile framework.

• Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop and implement scalable and efficient Java-based solutions.
• Support and optimize existing applications in a complex IT environment.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain technical documentation, architectural decisions, and best practices.
• Mentor junior and medior developers while promoting knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a 24/7 standby rotation after an initial training period.

• You bring 15+ years of experience in Java development and bugfixing, including Java 21.
• You have 15+ years of experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JPA.
• You possess 15+ years of experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• You're experienced in testing and quality assurance using TDD, JUnit, and Mockito (10+ years).
• You have 10+ years of experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• You possess 5+ years of experience and a Scrum Master certification.
• You bring 2+ years of experience with LeSS adoptions and Hexagonal architecture.
• You have 2+ years of experience with Angular and Miro.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with C1 level proficiency in English.
