Our client, a major transport infrastructure provider, is seeking a specialist to modernize real-time traffic control systems. This role focuses on optimizing software for efficiency, cybersecurity, and automated traffic management within a dynamic Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support development teams with specialized technical knowledge of traffic management components.
  • Provide high-level technical expertise to ensure the delivery of performant and reliable applications.
  • Integrate new functionalities into scalable and efficient software architectures.
  • Perform comprehensive code and architecture reviews to maintain system integrity.
  • Participate in a 24/7 standby rotation to support mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience in software architecture, including design and documentation of complex systems.
  • You possess 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Eclipse RCP, OSGI, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
  • You bring 5+ years of frontend development experience using Angular, CSS, and HTML.
  • You have 5+ years of experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.
  • You possess 2+ years of experience with OIDC and OAuth 2.0 in distributed architectures.
  • You have 2+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • You possess 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • You bring 2+ years of experience with Tibco RDV, Hazelcast, and various database technologies.
  • You have 2+ years of experience with DAS systems, the UIC SFERA protocol, and infrastructure modeling.
  • You are fluent in English (C1) with at least A2 level knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with optimization algorithms and MIP solvers.
  • Familiarity with integrating AI tools into software development workflows.
  • Possession of ISAQB or Java Developer certifications.
  • Experience coaching junior colleagues and utilizing JIRA or Confluence.
  • Willingness to obtain specialized domain technology certifications.
