Our client, a prominent organization in the life sciences sector, is seeking a Technical and Scientific Coordinator to manage laboratory equipment maintenance and planning. The role focuses on technical coordination and scientific monitoring rather than hands-on maintenance to ensure all laboratory assets remain compliant and operational.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory users and technical teams regarding equipment maintenance and interventions.
  • Coordinate and prioritize activities with external suppliers, including maintenance scheduling and contract follow-up.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as creating purchase orders and collaborating with finance on budget-related activities.
  • Oversee safety compliance by verifying HSE conditions before interventions and accompanying suppliers on-site.
  • Review and critically assess technical documentation, maintenance reports, and data provided by suppliers.
  • Ensure the planning and scheduling of laboratory equipment activities are managed in compliance with energy and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology.
  • You bring a solid understanding of laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, balances, pH meters, bioreactors, and laboratory robots.
  • You possess the ability to critically review and challenge supplier data and technical reports.
  • You have experience managing HSE requirements and assessing risks within a scientific environment.
  • You're highly organized, flexible, and able to manage shifting priorities autonomously.
  • You are fluent in French and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in equipment qualification, validation, or subcontractor management.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry or life sciences sector.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
