Our client, a key player in the transportation sector, is looking for a developer to strengthen their digital evolution team. This role involves building scalable, reliable, and user-centric web platforms using modern backend engineering practices and API integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of robust backend services and APIs to power modern web applications.
  • Oversee backend performance evaluation and monitoring to ensure system reliability and stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless data flows across various digital systems.
  • Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient, and scalable code while defining team standards.
  • Ensure high quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices.
  • Provide mentorship to other developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Manage production incidents through L2/L3 support and participate in a 24/7 standby rotation.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience in backend development with C# and .NET.
  • You bring 5+ years of expertise with .NET 6+, .NET Core, Web API, and RESTful services.
  • You possess experience in data and integration using SQL Server and EF Core.
  • You have hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • You bring a solid understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and modern development principles.
  • You're experienced in working within Agile methodologies and iterative delivery frameworks.
  • You possess experience providing L2/L3 support in a production environment.
  • You bring a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong mentorship abilities.
  • You're willing to be on-demand for a 24/7 standby rotation for critical production incidents.
  • You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Sitecore, Umbraco, or Optimizely.
  • Aptitude in performance optimization across diverse web browsers and versions.
