Our client, a major provider in the social services sector, is seeking a Functional Analyst to join their document management division. This role focuses on modernizing business-critical systems that handle document storage, retention, and integration across various internal applications.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze functional requirements to translate them into detailed technical specifications for development teams.
  • Conduct research and design new features to optimize existing software components.
  • Coordinate with analysts from various departments to clarify integrations and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery process to ensure solution quality and consistency.
  • Support the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing the product roadmap.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and technical teams to resolve complex problems.

Requirements

  • You possess 3+ years of experience in functional analysis within software development environments.
  • You're able to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical documentation.
  • You're a proactive communicator who takes full ownership of projects and acts as a bridge between stakeholders.
  • You possess a solution-oriented mindset and thrive in collaborative, multi-team environments.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Affinity with software development and integration projects.
  • Understanding of software architecture, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Prior experience with document management systems or platforms such as Alfresco.

  • Work regime: Full-time (80% negotiable)
  • Location: Brugge
  • Working model: Hybrid with onsite presence required on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
