Our client, a leading organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Strategic Portfolio Officer to steer their organizational transformation. This role focuses on managing a strategic portfolio to support the transition toward an integrated end-to-end supply chain by monitoring KPIs, risks, and strategic governance.

Responsibilities

  • Finalize and anchor the strategic portfolio database to ensure accurate tracking of organizational ambitions and resources.
  • Coordinate all strategic actions and proactively challenge progress toward defined objectives and business plan goals.
  • Manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and enablers while mapping operational workloads for diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve the governance of the strategic portfolio, including the formalization of strategic oversight meetings.
  • Develop strategic dashboards with KPIs and support management with detailed business case analyses and reporting.
  • Build trust-based relationships across all levels to guide stakeholders on portfolio content and structure.
  • Collaborate closely with program and change management teams within the transformation office to align deliverables.

Requirements

  • You bring 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5+ years in portfolio management or project management.
  • You have 5+ years of continuous experience working within large organizations of at least 1,000 employees.
  • You possess experience in asset-intensive sectors such as rail, energy, or logistics.
  • You're proficient in data and enterprise tools including SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
  • You bring knowledge of methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • You possess a Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • You have experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • You're a structured thinker with a results-oriented and proactive approach.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of corporate governance or public procurement regulations.
  • Experience with supply chain transformation or end-to-end operating model design.
  • Previous experience within a PMO or Transformation Office environment.
  • Affinity with change management and strategic KPI dashboarding.
  • Experience working within the public sector.
