Data & Reporting Business Analyst / SAP BO

A major Belgian energy infrastructure organization is undergoing a large-scale transformation of its market data and reporting landscape. As a Data & Reporting Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the transition of reporting processes to the MIG6 market model and support the integration of data generated by the rollout of digital meters. You will work at the intersection of business analysis, data engineering, and reporting, helping design and implement robust reporting solutions within a complex, regulated energy market environment.

• Analyze and redesign datasets and reporting structures as part of the transition to the MIG6 energy market model.
• Translate business reporting requirements into technical specifications and data models.
• Design and implement new reporting solutions using Power BI and enterprise BI platforms.
• Adapt and extend existing reporting solutions to support new market processes and digital meter data.
• Work with large datasets in Databricks and relational sources such as Oracle.
• Develop and optimize data queries using SQL.
• Integrate and manage data flows between systems including SAP BusinessObjects and SAP BO Data Services 4.0.
• Coordinate testing activities and validate reporting outputs against business expectations.
• Automate reporting processes and data integrations where possible.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements.
• Support ongoing analysis and execution of reporting-related initiatives within the organization.

• 5+ years of experience with SQL for data analysis and extraction.
• 5+ years of experience working with BI monitoring and reporting facilities.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP Reporting BO Data Services 4.0 using Oracle as a source system.
• 4+ years of experience with Databricks and Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the Belgian energy market, including knowledge of market roles and regulations.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Process Management (BPM) and process optimization.
• You possess a Master’s degree.
• You bring excellent communication skills and can bridge the gap between business and IT.
• You are fluent in Dutch with C2 level proficiency.
