Our client, a leading research organization is seeking a specialist for a large-scale scientific project. This role focuses on the engineering, system integration, and operational oversight of complex cryogenic equipment within a research facility.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering activities and system integrations for cryogenic equipment throughout the entire lifecycle from design to maintenance.
  • Perform design consolidation and ensure global engineering coherence of the cryogenic distribution systems and cryomodules.
  • Prepare technical documentation for the public procurement process and provide technical follow-up for industrial contracts.
  • Coordinate pre-qualification campaigns, including test-stand preparation, commissioning, and analysis of results.
  • Manage comprehensive documentation across the design, procurement, production, and installation phases.
  • Analyze test results against theoretical models and numerical forecasts to ensure system performance.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • You possess a broad understanding of low temperature physics and knowledge of large-scale cryogenic systems and infrastructures for experimental research.
  • You bring experience in the design and hardware development of cryogenic systems and the integration of cryogenic subsystems.
  • You have a professional background in an R&D environment within industry or research.
  • You're pragmatic, rigorous, and possess excellent interpersonal and reporting skills.
  • You are fluent in English and French at a C1/C2 level.

Nice to Haves

  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience with the cryogenic operation of cryomodules and instrumentation for particle accelerators.
  • Familiarity with linear particle accelerators.
