Senior Technical Lead – C++ & Python

Our client, a prominent organization in the public transport sector, is looking for a technical expert to drive the digitalization of their vehicle fleet. This role focuses on the integration of modern hardware and software components within a complex vehicle platform to enhance driver support and operational efficiency.

• Provide technical leadership and steering for the integration of new and legacy on-board systems.
• Evaluate and manage the technical performance of external software vendors.
• Design and document technical analyses for complex multi-vendor system integrations.
• Oversee the implementation of modern software patterns including microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Bridge the gap between hardware components and software development teams to ensure seamless vehicle connectivity.
• Ensure code quality and technical standards are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

• You have 8+ years of experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Senior Software Developer within complex integration projects.
• You bring 8+ years of expertise in backend development and messaging using C++, Python, and MQTT.
• You possess extensive knowledge of Linux and containerization technologies.
• You have a deep understanding of modern software and integration patterns such as APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• You're experienced in the technical steering and critical evaluation of external software suppliers.
• You possess proven experience with system integration in complex multi-vendor environments.
• You have experience documenting and assessing detailed technical analyses.
• You are fluent in Dutch (level C2) with knowledge of English.
