Responsibilities

Asset Management Strategy

  • Define and deploy global Asset Management standards, methodologies, and policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation Asset Management strategy across all sites.
  • Establish governance processes for physical assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and new asset management methodologies.

Asset Lifecycle & Portfolio Management

  • Maintain a global overview of the Utilities & MEP asset portfolio.
  • Assess asset condition, lifecycle stage, degradation mechanisms, and associated technical risks.
  • Identify optimization, remediation, renewal, and replacement opportunities.
  • Monitor Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and optimize asset financial performance.

Utilities & MEP Scope

Manage assets including:

  • HVAC systems
  • Electrical power generation and distribution
  • Boilers and steam systems
  • Water production and distribution
  • Hot and cold utility systems
  • Gas and fuel distribution networks
  • Clean and black utilities
  • Building MEP infrastructure
  • Industrial automation and related IT systems

Risk Management

  • Act as the End-to-End technical risk manager for the assigned asset portfolio.
  • Lead technical risk assessments and define mitigation and remediation plans.
  • Develop response strategies for non-compliant assets together with Engineering, Technical Services, and Asset Owners.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, GxP, and HSE requirements.

Capital & Operational Planning

  • Develop and justify annual OPEX and CAPEX sustaining budgets.
  • Prioritize investment projects according to business objectives and asset criticality.
  • Monitor expenditure throughout the year.
  • Build business cases supporting strategic investment decisions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the single point of contact for Utilities & MEP asset management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business, Engineering, Technical Services, PMO, Global Engineering, and site teams.
  • Translate technical analyses into clear recommendations for senior management.
  • Drive change management and promote adoption of new asset management practices.

Performance & Capability Development

  • Develop asset performance monitoring and gap assessment programs.
  • Ensure technical support is provided throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Manage external service providers and contracts when required.
  • Contribute to the development of Asset Management department capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong expertise in physical asset management and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience managing technical risks across heterogeneous asset portfolios.
  • Experience preparing CAPEX/OPEX investment plans and business cases.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Utilities & MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, boilers, steam, water systems, gas distribution, and industrial utilities.
  • Good understanding of asset degradation mechanisms and lifecycle requirements.
  • Experience linking asset strategies with digitalization initiatives, operational resilience, cost optimization, COGS, and EBITDA improvement.
