Our client, a leading organization in the public infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior PMO Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of IT applications and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on steering agile development teams, ensuring project quality, and optimizing project management processes from concept to final delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Define and plan projects in collaboration with stakeholders, including resource allocation and tool refinement.
  • Manage the delivery of project results within agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Lead and coach IT development teams using Agile methodologies to ensure operational excellence.
  • Provide professional support to application owners throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to realization.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal quality standards, security regulations, and public procurement legislation.
  • Report on project progress, risks, and results to management to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate the transfer of project results to the organization to ensure sustainable implementation and continuity.

Requirements

  • You have 8+ years of experience as a project leader in infrastructure or software development projects.
  • You bring 8+ years of experience in facilitating and coaching IT teams while driving continuous process improvements.
  • You possess 4+ years of experience coordinating and monitoring a portfolio of bespoke IT projects within Agile environments.
  • You have proven experience managing AI project tracks and implementing ISO27k or NIS2 security standards.
  • You're experienced in Public Procurement (Overheidsopdrachten) and ITIL frameworks.
  • You have expert knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBok, ideally supported by certification.
  • You're proficient in using project management tools such as MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint).
  • You have experience with risk and issue management techniques.
  • You're proactive, take initiative, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working within the Flemish Government.
  • Certification in Prince2.
