Our client, a leading public sector organization in Antwerp, is seeking an experienced developer to join a mission-critical project focused on operational and administrative processing. The role involves developing a scalable, high-performance platform within a socially relevant environment using modern engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build performant and maintainable frontend applications using React.
- Optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
- Contribute to architectural design, scalability, and security measures.
- Implement test automation and monitor code quality.
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team and improve development standards.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Advanced knowledge of backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience building modern frontend applications with React.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database management.
- Practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level of proficiency.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Proven ability to lead development teams and coach junior developers.
