Senior Project Manager – Vulnerability Management

Our client, a leading public sector organization, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to coordinate a Proof of Value (PoV) trajectory for an innovative internal vulnerability scanning solution. The role focuses on evaluating the strategic and technical value of the solution to guide future implementation and business case development.

• Coordinate the Proof of Value trajectory for a new security scanning solution and evaluate its organizational value.
• Translate strategic objectives into a structured project approach while monitoring scope, time, and budget.
• Manage a large multidisciplinary team of analysts, developers, and testers to ensure project alignment.
• Perform functional and technical value analyses to provide well-founded recommendations for future implementation.
• Represent the organization in complex negotiations and cultivate support among diverse stakeholders at an executive level.
• Develop a comprehensive business case for the potential operational rollout of the solution.

• 8+ years experience leading complex, strategic ICT and infrastructure projects with significant organizational impact.
• 5+ years project management using PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, or SAFe methodologies.
• 5+ years experience managing project scope, budget, and quality in high-complexity environments.
• 5+ years professional experience in ICT architecture and strategic alignment between technology and business.
• 5+ years experience in stakeholder management at an executive and administrative level.
• You possess knowledge of Prince2 and PMBOK methodologies, roles, and processes.
• You bring experience leading Proof of Value or Proof of Concept trajectories and developing business cases.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 5+ years experience in change management and digital transformations.
• 1+ years experience working within a public or governmental organization.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and ITIL.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, and MS Office.
• Willingness to provide cases of previously led Proof of Value projects.

• Start date: 29/07/2026.
• Duration: project until 15/07/2027.
• Work regime: Part-time (40% - 50%).
• Location: Gent and Brussel.
• Working model: Hybrid.
