Expert Project Manager – Network & Telecom Infrastructure

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is looking for a professional to lead ambitious network and telecom infrastructure projects. This role focuses on guiding complex technological trajectories from initiation to final delivery while ensuring sustainable digital services for the community.

• Manage high-complexity network and telecom infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Lead public procurement procedures and draft technical specifications in compliance with government regulations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consisting of internal employees, vendors, and external consultants.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and scope while ensuring effective resource and risk management.
• Present project status, risks, and milestones regularly to senior management and steering committees.
• Coach and motivate project team members toward autonomy and ownership.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of delivered infrastructure to the operational organization.

• You possess 10+ years of experience in project management focusing on network and telecom infrastructure.
• You bring 8+ years of experience leading complex infrastructure or development projects.
• You have expert knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBOK, supported by a Prince2 Practitioner certification.
• You have extensive experience with public sector procurement and drafting specifications according to government regulations.
• You possess technical proficiency in LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Firewalling, VoIP, and Network Security.
• You have a proven track record in ITIL processes and service management models.
• You bring experience with MS Project and MS Office for detailed planning and reporting.
• You possess experience managing the full project lifecycle, including infrastructure migrations and transitions.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and possess strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of NIS2-related infrastructure and security projects.
• Experience defining and monitoring SLAs and KPIs.
• Certification in Agile Project Management or PMP.
• Experience with escalation management and decision-making in complex organizations.
