Our client, a prominent player in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Project Engineer - Warehouse Automation to lead a flagship logistics initiative. This role focuses on the development and implementation of a new, fully automated warehouse system designed to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation projects from the planning phase through to successful rollout and implementation.
  • Coordinate the technical execution of material handling systems, including AGVs and robotics.
  • Manage external suppliers and contractors to ensure technical specifications and milestones are met.
  • Drive the integration of automated storage systems, such as miniload and shuttle systems.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverable quality to ensure operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with engineering experts to refine the automation masterplan for the site.

Requirements

  • You have 10+ years of relevant experience in leading automation projects within warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • You bring technical expertise in AGVs, industrial robotics, and automated pallet warehouses.
  • You possess hands-on knowledge of miniload and shuttle systems.
  • You have a proven ability to manage technical relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
  • You're a proactive project leader with a focus on execution and delivery.

Nice to Haves

  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering.
  • Experience with conveyor belt systems in large-scale integrated projects.
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments or the pharmaceutical sector.
