Our client, a major player in the Belgian energy sector, is building a sophisticated data and information platform within a Microsoft Azure environment. The project focuses on scaling a cloud-based infrastructure to support advanced analytics and business intelligence for critical domain operations. This role involves bridging technical expertise with a data-driven mindset to maintain and expand the platform's operational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the data platform in alignment with established architecture and design principles.
- Analyze, model, and implement data-analytics and business intelligence use cases.
- Design and shape various components within the data and information layers.
- Maintain the operational stability and performance of the integrated data platform.
- Collaborate within a domain-specific team to address the data needs of network management.
- Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical IT implementation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering and BI consultancy.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and datawarehouse modeling using Data Vault.
- 3+ years of experience with datawarehousing concepts, processes, and architectures.
- You bring experience with Databricks and coding in Python or PySpark.
- You possess experience in Data Management (ETL) and SQL.
- You have experience with Power BI including semantic models, governance, and reporting.
- You're experienced with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- You possess a proactive data-driven mindset combined with strong technical IT skills.
- You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps, and Azure Storage Accounts.
- Experience with Star Schema modeling, DAX, and reporting tools.
- Experience with SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, or SAP Business Data Cloud.
- Knowledge of the Belgian energy sector or Asset Management domains.
- Possession of a Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
