Our client, a key player in the European energy infrastructure sector, is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to support diverse applications in content and asset management domains. The role focuses on designing automated test suites, executing functional and non-functional tests, and ensuring the reliability of critical systems within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on technical documentation and user story acceptance criteria.
  • Execute functional, non-functional, integration, and performance testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Implement and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks in coordination with the development team.
  • Prepare and manage the necessary test data required for scenario execution.
  • Document test results with detailed evidence and manage the full defect lifecycle in bug-tracking tools.
  • Analyze risks and provide recommendations on test coverage, including non-regression testing.
  • Collaborate with developers and project leaders to validate deployments from test to acceptance environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation with tangible programming or scripting skills in Python.
  • 5+ years of expertise in Performance testing.
  • Proven experience in test design, including writing detailed test plans and scenarios.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams.
  • You possess a basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and associated queries.
  • You’re able to understand technical IT concepts such as Web Services, APIs, Protocols, and frontend/backend architecture.
  • You bring a critical mind and the ability to challenge technical requirements autonomously.
  • You are fluent in English with knowledge of French and/or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Playwright or RobotFramework (RF).
  • Knowledge of RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with Security testing.
  • Experience working with DevOps ticketing systems.
