Technical Functional Analyst – Data Integration & Messaging

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is looking for a Technical Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between architectural vision and technical development for a major data exchange platform. The role involves translating complex functional requirements into technical specifications for integration services, ensuring seamless data sharing across multiple systems.

• Translate functional and architectural requirements into concrete technical specifications for data integration components.
• Design synchronous web services using SOAP and REST protocols, including data models and error handling strategies.
• Develop technical requirements for Kafka-based event architectures, focusing on topic structures and schema evolution.
• Work out technical specifications for asynchronous data file transfers using FTP, SFTP, and batch processing.
• Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria to ensure technical requirements are verifiable from the design phase.
• Manage daily operational responsibilities such as bug tracking, solution steering, and supporting migration projects.
• Document technical decisions and maintain consistency between architectural vision and final implementation.

• You have 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst working on large-scale, business-critical applications.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis and design concepts for OO, multi-tier, and UML environments.
• You possess 5+ years of experience with SOAP and REST services, including the interpretation and creation of XML and Swagger files.
• You have 5+ years of experience with asynchronous data transfers via FTP, SFTP, and batch processing.
• You bring 5+ years of experience with Oracle and EDB Postgres databases.
• You have 3+ years of experience implementing token-based authorization.
• You possess 3+ years of experience with technical tooling such as Confluence, JIRA, SoapUI, XML Spy, and Postman.
• You bring 1+ years of experience working with Kafka in an integration context.
• You're a strong communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical developers and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 1+ years of experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience with ELK stack and Jaeger tracing systems.
• Knowledge of Linked data, OSLO standards, and XSLT transformations.
• Experience defining and implementing test strategies.
