Our client, a leading life sciences organization, is seeking a Research Lab Technician to focus on analytical characterization and laboratory testing. This role involves performing tests on various materials and candidate molecules using diverse analytical techniques to support pharmaceutical development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage samples including receipt, processing, storage, and shipping across laboratory functions.
  • Perform quality control checks on instruments and reagents while conducting routine maintenance and calibration.
  • Document experiments, results, and non-conformances meticulously in LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Prepare comprehensive data summaries, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of SOPs and support the implementation of new assays.
  • Assist with deviation investigations and root cause analysis to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to GMP and other regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related Life Sciences field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a laboratory environment, gained through academic or industrial projects.
  • Experience with analytical techniques including HPLC, Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE), spectroscopy, and light obscuration.
  • Proficiency in lab-based computer systems such as Empower, LIMS, and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You are fluent in Dutch with good knowledge of English.
