AI Engineer – Computer Vision & NLP Solutions

Our client, a leading public sector organization, is looking for an AI Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing applications. This role focuses on implementing locally hosted AI models to support daily operational scenarios through specialized chatbots, object detection, and advanced text analysis.

• Develop and deploy AI applications focusing on Computer Vision detection and NLP-based solutions.
• Implement locally hosted AI models and specialized chatbots to assist in daily operational tasks.
• Integrate AI functionalities with existing standard platforms and build standalone applications.
• Train and fine-tune models by curating datasets and managing training procedures.
• Collaborate with end-users to understand operational requirements and deliver practical AI tools.
• Utilize the Claude Code framework to accelerate development and realization of AI projects.

• 5+ years experience as an AI Consultant.
• 5+ years development experience with Python.
• You bring extensive experience with LLMs and Machine Learning techniques.
• You possess proven expertise in training and fine-tuning datasets and models.
• You have strong knowledge of Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
• You have technical proficiency in Docker for containerization.
• You bring solid experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
• You are fluent in Dutch with C2 level proficiency.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with vLLM or llama.cpp for hosting local models.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and CSS.
• Development experience with Node.js, Java, or R.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scaling solutions.
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Deepstream.
